PSYCHEDELIC-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

As experts in our own struggle and how it relates to others we see the value in evidence-based practices when they are carefully combined with an anti-oppression perspective. We use a combination of interventions and perspectives to help individuals achieve their goals.

What is it?

It is a form treatment that uses medication to change the experience of the session, often leading to changed perspectives and behaviors that once felt unchangeable. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. The session will look the same as a normal virtual telehealth session that you regularly attend, however on the day you decide with your therapist that you would like to do the intervention you will take your prescribed low-dose ketamine lozenge and participate in a session that is however long you need it to be, which on average is about 2-3 hours.
