Our Therapy Modalities
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the term used for a group of psychological treatments that are proven to be effective in treating many psychological disorders. What makes CBT unique is that it focuses on the ways that a person’s cognitions (i.e., thoughts), emotions, and behaviors are connected and affect one another. Because emotions, thoughts, and behaviors are all linked, CBT allows for therapists to intervene at different points in the cycle.
PSYCHODYNAMIC
A form of talk therapy that explores the connection between a patient's past experiences – often from childhood – and their current mindset. Clients meet with a clinician to help increase their insight into how their feelings and repressed emotions impact the current reality. Therapists may encourage civic engagement or social justice activism as part of the healing process.
SPIRITUALLY-LED
Spiritually-led therapists can help clients reconnect the soul with the body and mind, helping them to explore the deeper facets of emotional, mental and spiritual well being. Every session looks different, however the focus remains on the client's goals and their connection to their spirituality.
